Vision: Ministry With Youth, By Youth, For Youth

The newly re-organized CYO at St. Paul Church is here to provide ministry with youth, by youth, for youth. Our members are high-school-age youth, young men and young women, white, black, Latino, and others, from Memphis, Southaven, Olive Branch, Horn Lake, and everywhere in-between. We are a high school youth group organized around three main concepts: community, message, service.

The CYO will build community because the teens themselves will determine much of the agenda and the activities that we will be doing, with times for socializing, making new friends, and building relationships that will last a lifetime.

The CYO will focus on the message of Jesus Christ and his Church. We will provide opportunities for all the youth to deepen their faith and their knowledge of that faith through high-quality catechesis that meets the needs of youth today.

The CYO will perform service in the community because the love of Jesus and the promises of our baptism compels us to become servant-leaders who serve others, as Jesus did when he washed the feet of his disciples.
Our youth ministry leaders speak both English and Spanish, and the CYO is open to all youth, regardless of language and culture. We hope our CYO can build bridges within the diverse community that is St. Paul.

Youth Ministry Leaders

David and Mary Delgado have volunteered to head up our parish's Youth Ministry this year. Mary's family has deep roots at St. Paul, and her grandmother was well-known to several generations of children as the school secretary. David grew up at Christ the King parish in Southaven, and recently has started his own law firm.
